Are you planning a relaxing vacation at the Baltic Sea and don't want to leave your dog at home? No problem - just bring your furry companion with you! At the Seeschlösschen we warmly welcome all guests, whether human or dog. The only condition? Respectful interaction with each other and, of course, that both our two-legged and four-legged guests are house-trained. We look forward to welcoming you and your four-legged friend!
Look forward to a wonderful Baltic Sea vacation with your dog. Dogs are very welcome here and can be accommodated in all room categories. Only one dog is allowed per room.
Please note that dogs are always kept on a leash within the hotel and are not allowed in our restaurants and on the pool terrace out of consideration for other guests. They are welcome in the lobby and on our seaside terrace.
There is a charge of €35 per night for your four-legged friend. We provide a bowl and a dog blanket in every room so that your dog can feel at home.
As dog lovers, we know how much our four-legged companions love to run free on the beach. However, the high season is less suitable for this due to the large number of bathers. The best time for a relaxed vacation with your dog on the Baltic Sea coast is the low season. From October to March, all beaches are accessible to dogs, without the need for a lead and with plenty of space to let off steam. But even during the other seasons and the high season, a vacation with a dog at the Baltic Sea is a wonderful experience.
The Niendorf dog beach is just a 16-minute walk from the hotel. Dogs can run around freely there even in high season, swim in the sea, fetch sticks, play ball and simply enjoy dog life. So nothing stands in the way of a great summer vacation with your dog.
An important note!
Please respect the beach and dispose of your dog's waste properly. You will find dog waste bags at regular intervals along the promenade.
1. Brodtener Steilufer
A worthwhile destination is, for example, the Brodtener Steilufer, a 4 km long cliff in the Bay of Lübeck, from where you can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the sea. It takes about 40 minutes on foot from the hotel, or 10 minutes by bike.
2. Bird park
There are also some beautiful places to discover beyond the beach. If you want to go for a walk, see something and maybe even learn something, then the bird park is just the right destination for you. One of the most popular attractions in Timmendorfer Strand is the Niendorf bird park, which is home to more than 250 different bird species. Dogs are allowed here on a lead. However, before you take your four-legged friend with you, you should consider whether they feel comfortable around birds. If so, nothing stands in the way of a relaxing walk.
3. Karls Erlebnis-Dorf / Lake Hemmelsdorf
You can reach Karls Erlebnis-Dorf (strawberry farm) by bike in just 15 minutes. Here you can enjoy a delicious piece of cake in the café and stroll through the store, which offers many treats and decorative items. Dogs are also very welcome here. Lake Hemmelsdorf is not far from the Erdbeerhof. At the beginning of the lake you will find the Hermann-Löns-Blick observation tower, from where you can enjoy a magnificent view over the lake. From there, you can also take a hike around Lake Hemmelsdorf.
The approximately 18 km route is also perfect for a bike ride that will not only give you a good workout, but also your dog. If you need a break, there are some nice stops along the route. Visit the Lakehouse °54 right on the lake, the Erdbeerhof and Café Tausendschön in Warnsdorf.
4. Timmendorfer Strand / pier
A beautiful route leads along the promenade towards Timmendorfer Strand. There you can admire the pier and enjoy the view of the sea. Of course, there is always the option of going to the beach and splashing around in the water with your four-legged friend.
