Reservation and arrival

— How can I book?

You can book your vacation relaxed and around the clock from our booking page, where you will receive, after successful booking, a small thank you gift on arrival. Alternatively, you can book by phone or by e-mail.

— What is the best way to reach the hotel?

Leave the A1 at the Ratekau/Timmendorfer Strand/Niendorf exit and keep going in the direction of Timmendorfer Strand. Shortly before the Timmendorfer Strand town sign, turn right onto the B76 and drive for a moment in the direction of Niendorf. Then turn left into Wiesenweg and follow the road until you reach Strandallee. Turn left again and after a few meters you will see the Grand Hotel Seeschlösschen already on the right side.

— Can I travel by train?

Of course, you can also reach the Grand Hotel Seeschlösschen by public transport. From Lübeck main station you can take the train to Timmendorfer Strand station. From there you can reach the Grand Hotel Seeschlösschen by bus or cab in about 10 minutes (bus stop Birkenallee - Timmendorfer Strand).

— When are the arrival and departure times at Grand Hotel Seeschlösschen? 

Your room is available on the agreed arrival day from 15:00 o'clock. On the day of departure you may use your room until 11:00 o'clock.

— Is there a late check-out?

An extension of the check-out is possible subject to availability and an additional charge.

— What are the payment options? 

In addition to EC cards and cash payment, we also accept the following credit cards: Visa, Mastercard.
American Express and checks are not accepted.

— What if I have to cancel my vacation spontaneously? 

Cancellation of the reservation free of charge is possible until 30 days before arrival. In case of later cancellation, the hotel reserves the right to charge 80% of the accommodation price if the reservation is not re-let.

Hotel

— Is the hotel barrier-free?

The Seeschlösschen is handicapped accessible and public rooms as well as the SPA area are located on the first floor or can usually be reached by elevator. Currently, the treatment rooms are relocated to other areas and are not accessible barrier-free. Special requirements for the room would have to be clarified in advance, please feel free to contact the reservation there if you have any questions. 

— I am allergy sufferer. Can I check in your hotel without worries?

Your allergies will be gladly taken into account. In our hotel you can get allergy bedding as well as stay in an allergy friendly room. In our restaurants there are special gluten and lactose free dishes. Please notify us of your allergies before arrival. 

— What is the parking situation on site? 

The hotel has two underground garages (entrance heights and widths limited) and an outdoor parking lot within walking distance across the street. Please reserve the parking spaces before your arrival (outdoor parking 12,- € per night; underground parking 18,- € per night). The entrance height of the hotel garage is 1.90 m, the country house garage 1.80 m; max. width 3.0 m - these are not suitable for wide or lowered cars - the entrance is around the corner downhill.

— How are the hotel rooms equipped?

All hotel rooms are individually furnished and are equipped with flat screen TV, Wi-Fi, safe, telephone, hairdryer, bathrobes and shower/bathtub WC. Almost all rooms have a balcony and land-side rooms also have air conditioning. 

— Is there Wi-Fi at the Grand Hotel Seeschlösschen? 

Free high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel during your stay.

— Is there a minibar? 

Yes, a mini bar is available in each room. For the filling you are welcome to contact the reception at any time.

— Is there a possibility to order food to the hotel room? 

There is a possibility to order breakfast and round the clock meals to the hotel rooms. There is a charge for this service.

— Are dogs allowed in the hotel? 

One dog per room is welcome in our hotel for an extra charge of 35 € per day. We will gladly provide your dog with a blanket and bowl. However, dogs are not allowed on the 10th floor and have no access to the restaurants and outdoor terraces.

— Can I smoke in the hotel? 

The hotel is a non-smoking hotel. Smoking is not permitted in any of the rooms or on the associated balconies. Smoking is only permitted in the fireplace lounge, which is currently closed, and in the designated areas on the terraces.

Restaurants

— Do I get breakfast at the hotel?  When do you serve breakfast? 

Breakfast is already included in all room rates. A breakfast buffet with a wide variety of dishes is waiting for you. Fixed breakfast times are set upon arrival, as only a limited number of tables are available and spacing is maintained. Breakfast times are between 7:30 am to 11:30 am, these are set at check-in.

— Is there a restaurant? When are the restaurants open? 

There are two restaurants and a bar in the hotel. The restaurants are open for hotel guests and currently, due to Corona, closed for external guests. We offer à la carte from 13.00 - 17.30 and from 18.00 - 21.30. In the evening there are currently 2 table times at 18.00 or at 20.00.

— Is there a bar?

In our in-house Ming Bar, you can enjoy great background and piano music in the evenings from Wednesday-Monday, in addition to a wide variety of drinks.

— Do you offer lactose-free/gluten-free products, among others? 

If you have a lactose or other food intolerance, please inform us in advance when booking. Some lactose- and gluten-free products are included in our permanent breakfast offer and are therefore offered daily and without advance order or surcharge.

Please understand that we cannot accommodate all individual requests within the scope of the regular breakfast offer. However, if you order in advance (at least 5 days before arrival), we will be happy to purchase additional products especially for you at an additional charge.

You are, of course, free to bring any additional products you require for breakfast yourself due to your food intolerance. A minibar is available in your room for storage. However, due to hygiene regulations, we are not permitted to store this variant in our cold store.

Wellness

The Grand Hotel Seeschlösschen has a spacious SPA-Area on 2,300 sqm with an indoor and an outdoor seawater pool, a gym and a large sauna area. For an individual cosmetic treatment or massage, feel free to drop by the SPA-Area. The use of the area is free of charge for all guests of the hotel.

— When is the SPA-Area open?

The spa-Area is open daily from 09:30 to 18:00. During this period you can use our extensive range of massage and cosmetic treatments.

The sauna is open daily from 14.00 to 22.00 and has a Finnish sauna, steam bath, sanarium, aroma grotto and a relaxation room. The Finnish sauna is open daily from 12.00 noon.
Our indoor swimming pool is open all year round from 07.00 - 22.00. You can use the outdoor seawater swimming pool with whirlpool from the end of April to October daily from 7.00 am - 10.00 pm.
The fitness room and solarium are open daily from 07.00 to 22.00.

Currently some rooms are still being renovated and therefore the access is through the 1st floor. 

— What massage and wellness treatments do you offer? 

We offer a wide range of relaxing massages and cosmetic treatments. In addition to classics such as a full body massage and manicure, our offer also includes a golf massage, BABOR aroma wellness massages and lymphatic drainage. — Does the use of the wellness area cost extra?

For our guests the use of the wellness area with pool, saunas and rest and fitness room is free of charge. However, if you would like to take advantage of our offer of relaxing massages and wellness treatments, additional costs will apply.

— Where can I book a massage or wellness treatment? 

You can book a wellness or beauty treatment at the Spa Reception of the Grand Hotel Seeschlösschen. If you would like to book an appointment in our SPA area before your stay, you can reach them at +49 (0)4503 601 316 or by e-mail.

— Are there bathrobes and slippers in the room? 

A cozy bathrobe and fluffy slippers are in your room for use in our spa area for the duration of your stay.

— How big are the pools? 

The indoor swimming pool has a length of 17,5 m, a width of 7 m and a depth of 1,3 m. The outdoor seawater swimming pool has a length of 15m, a length of 6m and also a depth of 1.3m. 

— Are the pools heated? 

Yes, the pools are heated and have a pleasant 28°C. 

— Is there a fitness room? 

Our fitness room is located in the spa area. In addition to a treadmill, the fitness room is also equipped with, among other things, a cross trainer, a bicycle and an exercise bench incl. dumbbells. If you are interested, we can organize a suitable personal trainer for you.

Golf

— Is there a golf course nearby? 

Golfers get their money's worth in the region around Timmendorfer Strand/Niendorf. Several golf courses can be reached within a few minutes drive. Guests of the Grand Hotel Seeschlösschen receive a 25% green fee reduction on the Timmendorfer Strand golf course. Further information can be found here

— Is there a golf equipment rental shop?

Yes, golf equipment can be rented at the golf course for a fee. You can find the prices here

— What level are the surrounding golf courses suitable for?

The surrounding golf courses are suitable for golfers of all skill levels. Especially the south course of the golf course Timmendorfer Strand with its total length of 3,603 meters is ideal for golf beginners, but also for experts, because precision is paramount.

— Can I go golfing with my children? 

Children and teenagers are welcome on the golf course. Taster courses are also offered.

Meetings & Events

— Is there a possibility to book premises for an event?

We offer the right event space for every occasion. Whether for a meeting, a seminar or a special event, we offer over 128 square meters of space.
Whether wedding, birthday party, confirmation or another festive occasion, we arrange your celebration in a dreamlike ambience. We offer various rooms for up to 80 people, some even with a direct view of the Baltic Sea.
Due to the current pandemic, we currently do not host larger parties or meetings.

Kids

— Is there a playground for children?

The nearest playground is located on the promenade next to the SEALIFE (about 1km). Our play ship "Chilly-Lilly" is in front of the restaurant Landhaus as well as a smaller playground behind our apartment hotel.

— Do you offer an entertainment program for children and teenagers? 

The Grand Hotel Seeschlösschen has a children's playroom and several playgrounds in the area. If interested, it is possible to book a swimming course or a two-hour golf taster course. A DVD player can be connected in the hotel room on request. Due to renovation work, the children's playroom is not available at the moment.

— Is there childcare available? 

We currently do not offer childcare in the house. 

— Do you offer extra beds?

We are happy to provide baby or extra beds for your children. Not every room is suitable for an extra bed. The overnight stay of children will be charged with an extra fee.

Other

— Is there a tourist tax obligation? 

All guests of the municipality of Timmendorfer Strand/Niendorf are subject to spa tax. The spa tax of 3,00€/person (high season, low season 1,70€/person) will be charged by the hotel at the end of your stay. You will receive the spa cards upon arrival. With the "Ostseecard" you get various discounts and this entitles you to beach access. 

— Can I rent beach chairs directly from the hotel? 

Beach chairs are available free of charge for our hotel guests in the swimming pool garden. In front of the hotel there are several beach sections of private beach chair renters. You can find an overview of all renters here

— Can I take my dog to the beach? 

From October 1 to March 31, you can enjoy your beach walk with your four-legged friends on all beach sections. From April 1 to September 30, dogs are only allowed on certain dog beach sections. The closest dog beach is located in Niendorf and is only a few minutes walk from the Niendorf harbor, the spa promenade and the park "An der Acht". From the Grand Hotel Seeschlösschen you can reach the dog beach in about 15 minutes on foot. 

— Are there cycling and hiking trails near the hotel?

The Bay of Lübeck is ideal for cycling and hiking. The Brodtener Steilufer is a 5.5 km long coastal strip that leads from Niendorf to Travemünde. The hiking trail above the coast is perfect for hiking, walking and biking. The Hemmelsdorfer See, not far from the Seeschlösschen, is also suitable for an extensive afternoon walk

— Are there bicycles? Can I safely store my private bike in the hotel? 

For the rental of bicycles and e-bikes we cooperate with the nearby bicycle rental "Strandgolfer". You can park your bikes in the underground garage or in front of the hotel. Charging stations for e-bikes are not available at the hotel. E-scooters can be charged in the room if they are small enough. 

— What can I do with my children? 

For outdoor fun and games, there are several playgrounds in the area. In addition, the adventure center SEALIFE and the bird park Niendorf are in the immediate vicinity. More information about activities in the area can be found here.
